School library software for Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad
The library system your pupils will ask to use.
QuickTrack is school library software for the whole job: scan books in and out in seconds, give every child a home screen of books picked for them, and let it chase the overdue ones. Built for the librarian, loved by the class.
Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad and any web browser. One library, all in sync.
- 10 languagesPlus American wording for US schools.
- AES-256 encryptedThe library and every backup, with a recovery key.
- No ads, no accountsChildren only ever see the library.
- Syncs with your MISWonde, Clever and OneRoster built in.
The student window
A home screen that feels like a streaming app, not a database.
Pupils meet Iggy, the library dragon, on a full-screen kiosk of their own. They scan their card, see books picked for them and find the next one to read, without ever seeing the staff side of the library.
- Books picked for each child from their reading level, age and what they have borrowed before, with a plain-English reason for every suggestion.
- Rows to explore: new books, most popular, Book of the Week and reading lists your staff curate.
- Reading that feels like a game: streaks, stickers, goals, ratings and weekly or termly leaderboards you control.
- Locked in: the student screen runs full screen and can only be closed with a staff code.

The lending desk
Scan a card, scan a book, done.
The desk shows who is borrowing and what they have out as you scan. Returns are one scan. Use a USB scanner on the computer, or the camera on an iPhone or iPad anywhere in the school.
- Fast-scan mode for queues, with sounds and a receipt when you want one.
- Rules that look after themselves: loan limits, due dates that skip school holidays, fines and reservations.
- Class sets: lend or return a whole box of books to one teacher in a single go.
- Batch add books: scan a delivery, and duplicates become extra copies automatically.
- Stocktake: walk the shelves and get a missing and shelved-but-out report.
Everything in the box
Built for the whole job of running a school library.
No add-ons to buy for the basics. Here is what you get from day one.
Books and students
- Copies, covers and details
- Each copy has its own barcode. Covers and synopses fill in from the ISBN, or are generated from the title and author.
- Labels and cards
- Print book labels and student cards with fast previews.
- Custom fields and photos
- Record what your school needs, and mark students as left without losing their history.
- Duplicates and bulk edit
- Find and merge duplicates, or change one detail across everything a search finds.
Reading
- Reading journey
- Levels, streaks, stickers, goals, ratings and book requests for every child.
- Right book, right level
- Set a reading level or age per student. Unsuitable books are flagged and staff can override.
- Families
- Email parents a link to see what their child is reading, plus termly reading summaries by email or print.
- Inter-school challenges
- Optional, and totals only. Student details are never shared.
Staying on top
- Overdue emails
- Friendly reminders to students, with an optional copy to teachers and parents.
- Reports
- Built-in and custom reports with your own rules, exported as CSV or PDF or sent directly to print.
- Undo and history
- Undo common edits and see the change history of any record.
- Year-end rollover
- Plan the move to the new year, review it, and undo it if needed.
Getting your data in
- Import
- CSV, Excel, OpenDocument, MARC and ISBN lists, with a preview and an undo for the last import.
- School systems
- Sync pupils and classes from Wonde, Clever or OneRoster.
- Coming from an older QuickTrack
- A walkthrough brings your books, students and books on loan across.
- Library sharing
- One computer acts as the server so other devices share the same library, with an offline desk if the connection drops. Or ask us about our dedicated server version.
Safe by design
Children's data deserves better than a spreadsheet.
QuickTrack is built so the person responsible for data protection can say yes.
Encrypted at rest
The library and every backup are encrypted with AES-256, with a recovery key you keep.
Staff logins with a trail
Administrators and librarians have their own sign-in, there is an activity log, and a forgotten administrator password can be recovered with a code.
Nothing leaves without your say
No ads, no tracking and no accounts for children. Challenges and emails are opt-in.
Backups and restore
Back up on a schedule and restore when you need to.
Accessible
Screen reader support on Mac and Windows, native controls and clear focus throughout.
Made in Britain
Written by Allensby Group, a British software company, with UK spelling and pounds out of the box alongside support for 9 other languages and US formatting.

Questions we get asked
Which devices does it run on?
Mac (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows (Intel and Arm), iPhone, iPad and any modern web browser (via Library Sharing or the dedicated server).
Which languages are supported?
QuickTrack is available in English (with UK or American wording), French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. The staff screens and the student window both follow the language you choose. If you spot wording that could be better, let us know.
Is it safe for children to use?
Pupils only see the library: no accounts, messaging or ads. The student screen can be locked so it cannot be closed without a staff code.
Can we bring our existing data?
Yes. Import from CSV, Excel, MARC or ISBN lists, sync from Wonde, Clever or OneRoster, or use the walkthrough if you are moving from an older QuickTrack. We will help you if you get stuck.
Where is our data kept?
On your own computers, encrypted. If you share the library between devices, one of your computers acts as the server.
Do the inter-school challenges share our data?
Only if you switch them on, and then only school-level totals. Student details are never shared.
How much does it cost?
£297.00/Year per Library. Additional devices can connect to main library free of charge. Get in touch if you have any questions.
See it with your own books.
The free demo allows you to access all features of the software and add up to 10 books and 10 students.
